The Moldova Agroindbank Hospice Football Cup

It was a cold morning at CSCT Buiucani on 22 October 2011, but the weather wasn't enough to put off the 16 teams who had come out in support of Angelus Moldova to take part in the very first football tournament in aid of the hospice, The Moldova Agroindbank Hospice Cup. Participating teams were asked to donate a minimum donation of 100 EURO towards the work of Hospice Angelus and we would like to extend our thanks to all the teams who participated:

The day started with registration at 8.30am and the event was opened by a word of welcome from Moldovan Football Federation Secretary, Nicolae Cebotari. After 3 hours of group matches and a set of exciting quarter and semi-finals, the final match of the day was set up between tournament sponsors, Moldova Agroindbank and trophy sponsors, Endava. It was tense but Moldova Agroindbank managed a 3-1 defeat over Endava and became the first champions of the Hospice Football Cup. Thanks to all the teams who helped to make this a very special day indeed and for all the support that we had in the run up to the event.
